*Note: An Amhaengeosa, or Secret Royal Inspector, was an undercover agent sent by the king during the Joseon Dynasty to check on local government and look after the populace.

Prologue: The King is Bored!
The time is the late 18th century. King Jeongjo was the greatest "social butterfly" and a reformist monarch of the Joseon Dynasty.
Amidst the rigid palace life and stacks of difficult reports, a thought suddenly crossed his mind.
"Isn't there a way to share the true fun of Suwon Hwaseong, this city I love so much, with my people? A newer, more creative, and less formal way!"
He longed to communicate more closely with his subjects, but his status as king always stood in the way.
And of course, there was the constant nagging from his officials: "We beseech you, Your Majesty!"
Act 1: The Arrival of Future Letters and Landscapes
Then one night, Jeongjo has a very peculiar dream. In it, he travels through time and walks through the future of his beloved city, Suwon Hwaseong.
Hwaseong Haenggung Palace and Banghwasuryujeong Pavilion, which he had built, were still shining beautifully, and next to them were mysterious new places he had never seen before. And that wasn't all. The people of the future were communicating with mystical picture letters like smiley faces (😀), hearts (❤️), and lightning bolts (⚡️). They were 'emojis,' from the world 200 years later. Waking from his dream, Jeongjo slapped his knee in excitement.
"Oh, Great King Sejong*! This is it!
If I turn the future scenes from my dream into a riddle using these picture letters, then wouldn't everyone—from my subjects who cannot read to the foreign guests stepping on this land for the first time—be able to enjoy it together?"
*Note: King Sejong the Great (15th century) is the revered creator of the Korean alphabet, Hangeul, which was designed to be easy for common people to learn and use.
Act 2: King Jeongjo's Secret Project, The Random Game
From that day on, King Jeongjo's secret project began. He created a coded message using combinations of 'emojis' for five locations—some where he had actually walked, and others he had scouted in his dream for his people. This was no mere treasure hunt.
It was a cheerful invitation from King Jeongjo to his people and a 'Random Game' that embodied his wish to play together across the ages.
He also hid a special 'gift' for those who completed the game and sealed the coded message away, hoping that someone in the future would discover it.
Epilogue: 2025, The Invitation is Finally Unveiled
And now, in 2025, we are the ones who have discovered that sealed Code!
